Although I've only been an entrepreneur for five years, I was a professional for 14 years as a clinician and in management. The one thing that's a mainstay is a positive morning routine.
As women, we juggle many tasks, and to be honest......being in a suitable headspace keeps me on track.
I've changed my routine multiple times throughout the years until I found the right mix for me. These small acts set the stage for my day.
Game Changing Morning Routines
When thinking of a morning routine, I don't think of brushing my teeth, packing lunches, making the bed, doing a load of laundry, etc; that's a given.
I like to think of my morning routine as self-care.
The time I spend with myself in the mornings is precious, and I don't want to be tied down to the same routine every morning.
I'm a planner, but when it comes to my mornings, I like to be free.
Here are few things I do before I start my day. (not all on the same day)
1. Always wake up early
2. Make a cup of hot tea
3. Make a smoothie or a juice
4. Meditate for 10 minutes
5. Express gratitude
6. Take an online yoga class for 30 minutes
My morning routine is based on how I feel when I wake up, and It's the one time of the day when a schedule is not considered.
