Your morning routine can make your day

If experience has taught me anything, it's that starting your day with a positive routine can set the stage for what's to come.

Although I've only been an entrepreneur for five years, I was a professional for 14 years as a clinician and in management. The one thing that's a mainstay is a positive morning routine.

I've changed my routine multiple times throughout the years until I found the right mix for me. These small acts set the stage for my day.

As women, we juggle many tasks, and to be honest......being in a suitable headspace keeps me on track.

Positive morning routine

When I think of a morning routine, I don't think of brushing my teeth, pack lunches, making my bed, do a load of laundry, etc; that's a given. I like to think of my morning routine as self-care.

I've learned that the time I spend with myself in the mornings is precious, and I don't want to be tied down to the exact routine every morning.

I'm a planner, but when it comes to my mornings, I like to be free.

Here are few things that I do before I start my day. (not all on the same day)

-I always wake up early

-Make a cup of hot tea

-Make a smoothie or a juice

-meditate

-take an online yoga class

-stretch

-journal

-read

I choose my morning routine based on how I feel when I wake up, and It's the one time of my day when I'm not on a schedule.

Tips for Choosing your morning routine

-Only choose practices that bring you joy

-keep it simple

-Make sure it relaxes you and not add stress to your day
